Caloosahatchee Manuscripts. Both banners above are based on the sculpture by Jim Sanborn, titled Caloosahatchee Manuscripts. Florida Power & Light donated to the City of Fort Myers in 2001 and sits outside the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center. There are two bronze cylinders that contain the text of a story told by Maskoki Indian leader Tchikilli to James Oglethorpe. The sculpture and words create a powerful presentation and tell a story. Because my words tell a story and I appreciate the concept of Jim Sanborn's Caloosahatchee Manuscripts, I based the banner on the sculpture. Here are two of my photographs while attending Fort Myers Art Walk Downtown, Ft Myers, Florida. The text has been extracted and provides a very interesting perspective.
